A rare opportunity to hear this meeting between jazz giant and vibes pioneer, Milt Jackson, and the godfather of R&B and one of the greatest musicians of all time, Ray Charles! Originally released as two separate albums in 1958, Soul Meeting, and Soul Brothers, this is the first time both of these legendary discs are available together on vinyl. Ironically, when this disc was released it was Jackson, with his pioneering Modern Jazz Quartet, who was the more famous of the two men. Here, being perhaps the greatest vibists of all time, he rocks the vibes and even tries his hand at a little guitar and piano. Brother Ray, on the other hand, wows us with his (and this is an understatement) AMAZING piano playing and...did you know he was also an excellent sax player? These albums have been highly praised by critics and fans alike as being true masterworks. Don't miss this two LP set!
